Ian and Courtney in Carrollton, GA

I don’t say this lightly, but Ian and Courtney’s wedding was one of the most beautiful and unique celebrations I’ve seen in ten years of being a wedding photographer.  It had elements of a traditional southern garden wedding mixed in with the energy and vibrance of a music festival (not to mention the live artist and killer band The Fritz). Ian and Courtney met at a Phish concert so the later half of their reception went well into the night and felt more like a concert than a wedding! Balloons and glowsticks everywhere, sweaty enthusiasm on the dance floor, and joy. Lots of JOY.

I’m so happy for my friends, Ian and Courtney! Thanks for letting me play such a big role in your amazing day! Here are some highlights from their wedding on June 11, 2016:

This was easily my favorite moment(s) of the day; Champagne was poured, everyone grabbed a balloon and walked down to the reception site together. It was quite a parade!

!!!!!

Hands down, the most beautiful wedding cake I’ve EVER seen. Truly.

Handmade with love by friend of the bride’s family, Ann Fletcher

The Fritz band was amazing!

All in all, it was a pretty epic wedding day! Sending lots of love to Ian and Courtney! Big thanks to my assistant photographer, Meredith, for traveling down to Georgia with me!
